The Journey to Healing with Pastor Josh Samarco
In this episode, Dr. Derwin Gray is joined by Pastor Josh Samarco, who also serves at Transformation Church. Pastor Josh had a tumultuous childhood, but an unexpected encounter with God changed the trajectory of his life. As he grew in his faith, he realized he had to deal with the trauma from his past and began a journey to healing through counseling and biblical community.
Josh is a mentor, pastor, former basketball coach and player, husband, leader, teacher, speaker, writer, and student of life. He has a lovely wife named Jasmine. Outside of God, she is the best thing that has ever happened to his life.
Josh is a former Division 1 basketball player. He was an All American in college and recently got inducted into the Hall of Fame at the University of Pikeville. He also played professional basketball for the Lake Michigan Admirals. He says Steph Curry has nothing on his jump shot.
Josh currently serves on staff at Transformation Church in Indian Land, South Carolina, as the Family Ministries Pastor. He has a M.A. in ministerial leadership and is currently working on his second masters at Wesley Seminary.
